The Care You Deserve
AFTER HOURS
Baxter Medical provides after hours care for our patients outside our practice opening hours. DOCTOR DOCTOR can be contacted on 132660, in an emergency situation 000 should be called immediately.

TELEPHONE ACCESS
Our GPs may be contacted during our business ours. If the GP is with a patient, a message will be taken & reception staff will advise when it is likely that the GP will return your call. In an emergency situation your call will always be put through to the GP.

FEES
We are a bulk billing medical clinic and all medical consultations will be processed as bulk bill for any patient with a valid medicare card. Charges may be raised for reports, insurance & medicals not covered under medicare. There may also be a minimal charge for certain surgical procedures.
Our dental fees are reasonable & we try to keep costs to an affordable rate. We accept Medicare Child Dental Benefit Schedule & Victorian Emergency Dental Vouchers.

CANCELLATION POLICY
It is the policy of this practice that patients advise us of their inability to attend an appointment at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled appointment by phone. This enables us to give other patients the care they need. Continual non-attendance may result in no further appointments being taken.

RESULTS
To obtain results for any investigations your GP/Dentist may request you make an appointment to discuss the results. If the GP/Dentists recognises abnormalities in your test results an sms via HealthEngine will be sent or if there is an urgency in your results nurse/reception staff will call you to arrange an appointment. Please note for privacy and confidentiality reasons, we are unable to give results out over the phone.

REMINDER SYSTEM
We are committed to providing preventive quality health care to all our patients. We may send you a sms via HealthEngine or letter informing you of health assessments/routine tests/dental check ups which are appropriate for you. If you do not wish to be part of this system please let reception staff know.

PRIVACY
As part of our duty of care to our patients, GPs/Dentists and all practice staff respect the confidentiality of medical & personal information at all times in accordance with Federal & State privacy regulations. Personal & medical information may be transferred to a specialist practitioner for further opinion & management if you agree to a referral.

PATIENT FEEDBACK
Our goal is to be committed to provide high quality patient care. We subscribe to National Relay Service for hearing imparied & TIS (Translatiing and interpreting service).
